Middle and High School students from Communities In Schools of Clark County’s    21st CCLC program read the book Wonder for their November/December Book Club selection.  Students discussed the book’s themes of inclusion, courage, and how to treat people who may look or seem different than us.  Some of their book club activities included playing a respect Jeopardy game, mealtime discussions on inclusion, and some role plays.  As a culminating activity, students boarded tour busses to the local theatre where they were treated to a private screening of movie version of the book which was just released.  All 75 students who participated in the field trip had a great time and said they learned a lot about how important it is to make everyone feel included and valued!
